What is Botox?
Botox is a purified toxin injected into key areas of your face to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The toxin temporarily paralyzes the muscle activity that accentuates these creases when you smile, frown, and squint. The most popular cosmetic procedure in the US, Botox has been highly studied for its safety and efficacy.
What is Dysport?
Dysport is similar to Botox. It uses the same purified toxin – botulinum – that Botox does. Dysport also decreases the appearance of lines and wrinkles on your face by halting muscle activity.
What areas are treated with Botox and Dysport?
Both Botox and Dysport are FDA-approved for the following:
  • Crow’s feet around the eyes

  • Horizontal lines on the forehead

  • Frown lines that appear between the eyebrows

With Leah’s expert injections, you look refreshed and softer, but completely natural. Leah helps you determine which formula is best for you.
How soon will I see the effects of Dysport and Botox and how long do they last?
Botox and Dysport are temporary solutions for wrinkles and lines. Both last three to four months, depending on how your body reacts and the formula used. Some people see the results of Dysport injections a bit sooner than those of Botox. Dysport may start to correct wrinkles in two to three days, while Botox may take up to a week.
Do Botox and Dysport injections hurt?
You will feel a pinch with each injection. The needles are very tiny, and the procedure is quick. Most people do just fine without any anesthetic, but if you’re concerned about unpleasant sensations, ask Leah about using a topical numbing cream or ice to ease discomfort.
Should I schedule downtime following Botox and Dysport injections?
You can go right back to all your normal activities following Dysport or Botox injections. Many people schedule the treatments during their lunch hour and return to work. You may have a little bruising or swelling at the injection sites, but this is easily covered with makeup and fades within a few days.
