What are dermal fillers?
Juvéderm and Restylane are based on a compound called hyaluronic acid. This natural product is produced by your skin in plentiful amounts in your youth, but as you age, your production decreases. By restoring your hyaluronic levels, dermal fillers give your skin a youthful plumpness and restore hydration levels. The fillers are administered via injection but require no incisions or blood loss. The results are temporary but quite effective.
Why should I consider dermal fillers?
As you get older, the fat just under your skin starts to disappear, making lines and wrinkles more obvious. Hyaluronic acid production reduces as do your levels of collagen and elastin, which give your skin its strength and elasticity. Dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm and Restylane, restore hydration, softness, and skin strength. They boost collagen production as well as plump and hydrate the skin. Consider dermal fillers if you desire a more youthful, rejuvenated look.
What skin concerns can dermal fillers address?

Do injections of dermal fillers hurt?
You will feel the pinch of the needles as they penetrate your skin to administer the injectable. However, most people tolerate the treatment well. Many formulas contain lidocaine, a numbing agent, to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. You can also request ice or a topical numbing cream be applied prior to injections if you’re concerned about discomfort.
